Mischa Barton- There's A New Number One in Celebrity Dead Pool

If you're anything like me, you enjoy taking a couple of seconds out of the everyday hum drum of life to try and compete against friends and Taliban alike in celebrity dead pool. The game involves you picking the next few celebrities that are going to kick the bucket. Now if you pick old geezers like say, oh, I don't know, how about Walter Kronkite, the point total is sooo much less.

But if you're one of the lucky few that knew that Michael Jackson's (AKA The Old King of Pop) doctors were stuffing him with so much narcotics that he basically was making Tony Montana look like a casual user of Yayo, then congrats. You scored major point totals.


Well, this weekend we saw a new comer come from out of nowhere and land herself in the very top spot on everyone's celebrity dead pool recruiting services. Oh yeah, I got a side gig.

Apparently, the girl who used to star in some TV show with that super hot hottie Rachel Bilson, was involuntarily put into a psych ward in LA over the weekend. They could keep her there for up to 72 hours, but after that, in order to keep her there, they would have to show a reason.

Mischa Barton remained in hospital this weekend, despite the fact that her 72-hour sectioning was up. The actress' friends are now claiming Mischa has reached the point where she felt "suicidal" and called the police herself because she was worried about what actions she would take. One source claiming to be a close friend of the star told the NY Post this weekend that Mischa went on a "three-day coke binge" in the run-up to her hospitalization. "She's in very bad shape. She's running out of money and can't find love, so now she is looking for a good time to escape her misery," goes on the "friend", before adding, "She is on a downward spiral. She is a mess. She is suicidal."

So folks, don't wait around till tomorrow to see if you can grab Mischa in the Free Agent Pool. Run right out there and grab her now off of waivers.
