New York City Dumpster Pools
Do you like this story?
Just when you thought New York City couldn't be more infested with people that smell like garbage, they've come up with an ingenious plan to turn un-used dumpsters into pools for hep-cats and cool yuppies to swim in.
On an abandoned lot in otherwise garbage infested Brooklyn (mafia controlled parts excluded of course), developers have erected what they call a lo-fi urban country club: three connected pools housed in Dumpsters; a boccie court; some lounge chairs, grills and cabanas.
“It’s a very simple concept,” said Jocko Weyland, Macro-Sea’s project manager. “There aren’t that many places to swim in New York.” And Dumpsters “are everywhere; they’re ubiquitous.”These jerk-offs probably think that they were the first to come up with this idea, but they' be wrong. All of New York City's smelliest homeless people have been diving into dumpsters for decades now. Only they prefer to call it "swimming in filth." And believe it or not, it's a lot less yuckier than hanging in a pool with some stockbroker douchebag. Try it.
