Banksy

I ll start this off by saying I don't condone graffiti, never as a kid was I into it. Ever. Sorry I had something in my eye. As most of us know graffiti is usually some little jerk off tagging his stupid name up in adolescent fonts. Banksy is something different.

Ditching the conventional way graffiti is thought of, Banksy uses stencils along with canvass (a brick wall for example), to quickly convey political messages. Most people, while they might not side with what he stands for, is amazed at the visual aspect of it. To quote Wikipedia, which we all know to be fact, "Banksy's stencils feature striking and humorous images occasionally combined with slogans. The message is usually anti-war, anti-capitalist or anti-establishment".

Quite possibly the most intriguing thing about the "artist" is his identity. Few people know what he looks like or even his real name, only adding to his mystique. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have even shelled out big bucks to some of his works, not having a clue who they were writing their checks out to. Gotta love it.

So if you haven't heard of Banksy check out some of his pics and just hope your car doesn't wind up his canvass.
